I need you to finish this statement:

I know our employer branding is working because once we started taking it seriously

  • Maybe it’s a number that went up or down in a significant way.

  • Maybe it’s how your recruiters are getting more responses to their outreach.

  • Maybe hiring managers hear the brand ideas from the candidates during interviews.

  • Maybe your social team is using your employer brand content to grow their social audiences.

  • Maybe it’s that marketing is working with you to build a more holistic brand.

  • Maybe your leadership is talking about how it is elevating the quality of candidates.

  • Maybe your CFO is seeing how it saves money.

Whatever your proof is, I just need one solid and specific way you know your employer brand is making an impact.

Why?

Because I’m going to compile these stories into one big document.

Can you imagine it? A PDF with hundreds of data points and proof points from around the world across all industries?

And then I’m going to try and send it to every recruiter, TA leader, HRBP, Chief People Officer, marketer, and exec to prove once and for all that employer branding isn’t fluffy-bunny/pretty-pictures/BS-spin.

We aren’t nice, we’re important, we’re strategic, we’re impacful.

Employer brand matters, and you and I are going to prove it together.

Just reply to this email with your response. It might be a line, it might be a data point, it might be a story that your recruiter told you about their own experience.

Do me a favor and note your name and company. I WON’T USE YOUR NAME (I don’t want you getting in trouble) but I will keep track of great answers just so I have proof when someone tries to say I made these up.

Because you responded, you will be the first to get a copy. Maybe you’ll read it and get ideas. Maybe you’ll look at it and beam with pride.

And maybe you might use it as proof to your own leadership so you can get more stuff done.

Look, I want the world to finally “get” how powerful this stuff is, and I need your help to make it happen.

+++++

I bet you know someone who would love to read this stuff. Share it with them!
